Why won't Terrakion show up? What is the best strategy for Terrakion? Large boulders are hurled at the opposing team to inflict damage. The user attacks by slicing with its long horns. A frenetic dance to uplift the fighting spirit.

The user protects itself and its allies from priority moves. The user stabs the foe with sharpened stones from below. The user fights the target up close without guarding itself. The user quietly focuses its mind and calms its spirit to raise its Sp. A move that leaves the target badly poisoned. The target is taunted into a rage that allows it to use only attack moves for three turns.

The target is attacked with a powerful beam. It enables the user to evade all attacks. The user creates a protective field that prevents status problems for five turns. A full-power attack that grows more powerful the less the user likes its Trainer.

A full-power attack that grows more powerful the more the user likes its Trainer. By moving rapidly, the user makes illusory copies of itself to raise its evasiveness.

A wondrous wall of light is put up to suppress damage from physical attacks for five turns. A five-turn sandstorm is summoned to hurt all combatants except the Rock, Ground, and Steel types. Boulders are hurled at the target. The user confounds the target with speed, then slashes. An attack move that doubles its power if the user is poisoned, burned, or has paralysis. The user goes to sleep for two turns. The user attacks the target with a song. The user heightens its mental focus and unleashes its power.

A restrained attack that prevents the target from fainting. The user charges at the target using every bit of its power. The user polishes its body to reduce drag. The user hypnotizes itself into copying any stat change made by the target. The user stomps down on the ground and attacks everything in the area. The user slashes at the target by crossing its scythes or claws as if they were a pair of scissors. The target is stabbed with a tentacle or arm steeped in poison. The user makes a copy of itself using some of its HP. Go through here, go west down the stairs, south, and then west again along the narrow passage. You will see a different sort of cave entrance on the northern wall. Go through it and you will see Terrakion sitting in a small room, waiting for you. Save the game and then talk to him.

Attempt to catch him. Throw a Quick Ball at him on the first turn. It might catch him, it might not, but it's always worth a try, though only on the first turn.

Avoid super-effective moves. Be careful - you don't want him to faint. If he does, you can always turn off the device and retry again, but be on the safer side! When you see a tiny little sliver of HP, this is probably the lowest you can go. Putting him to sleep or freezing him will give you a higher rate of capture than paralysis, remember.

Do one of those. Throw a Dusk Ball once he is down to 1 HP and has a status change. Keep throwing them; they are your best shot. If you can get a Heavy Ball, use it, as Terrakion is heavy! After about 40 turns, bring out your Timer Balls. When you approach Terrakion, Colress will walk up to you. Tell him you plan to fight Team Plasma. He walks away, but mentions that he saw something interesting in the Seaside Cave on Route 21, reminiscent of when you met him on Route 2.

Now that Colress has departed, you can talk to Terrakion to battle it. If you knock Terrakion out, you will still get a chance to catch it, but you have to wait until after you have beaten the game. You can increase your chance of catching Terrakion by lowering its HP as much as possible. Better yet, inflict Sleep or Freeze, because these two status ailments improve the chance of success even more than Poison, Burn, or Paralysis.

Otherwise, use Ultra Balls. Hop down to get a Rare Candy. Then go farther south to battle Hiker Justin, who has a level 45 Nosepass and a level 45 Steelix.
